About Our Practice

Welcome to Connected in Community, where compassion meets expertise in mental health care. Founded in 2020 by Charla Yearwood, our practice was born from a desire to support marginalized communities in processing and healing from trauma and oppression. Since our inception, we've grown into a team of dedicated therapists who share a profound commitment to delivering top-tier, culturally affirming therapy services to the residents of Indiana.

Connected in Community, stands apart. Our foundation is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a safe and culturally inclusive environment to navigate life's challenges – whether grieving, celebrating, or healing. We embrace individuals from all walks of life, fostering a space where diversity is celebrated and respected.

In our pursuit of expanding access to high-quality, culturally affirming mental healthcare, we've established Our Therapy Lab. This training program equips therapists with the tools and knowledge to provide inclusive care that addresses the unique needs of each individual. Through anti-oppressive techniques and support for graduate student interns, we're shaping the future of mental health care.

Each therapist at Connected in Community brings their own specialization to the table, offering a wealth of expertise to our clients. Yet, we're more than just a team – we're a community. Through ongoing coaching, feedback, and shared resources, we uplift and empower one another to deliver the best possible care.

Whether you're seeking support for yourself or a loved one, Connected in Community is here to walk alongside you on your journey towards healing and growth. Experience the difference of compassionate, culturally affirming therapy with us.
