Hello! I'm Elvery Tinsley (she/her), a mental health therapist associate dedicated to empowering individuals and couples on their journey toward improved mental health and fulfilling relationships. With a focus on supporting marriages and relationships through couples counseling, I am passionate about helping partners navigate challenges, strengthen their bond, and rediscover joy in their relationship.

In addition to providing therapy at Connected in Community, I am also the founder of Love Minus Limits, a business committed to creating events and fostering community for couples seeking to deepen their connection and thrive together.

My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that mental health is a transformative process, not just a destination. Drawing inspiration from Nelson Mandela's words, "It always seems impossible until it's done," I strive to empower my clients to overcome obstacles and cultivate resilience in the face of adversity.

With a diverse background and expertise in marriage and family relationships, parenting, youth/teens, young adults, anxiety, depression, self-care, trauma, and ADHD/ODD, I tailor evidence-based practices to meet the unique needs of each individual and couple. I utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, person-centered, solution-focused, and mindfulness practices.

Outside of my professional role, I cherish quality time with my husband and our three children, as we embrace the transition into our empty nest phase. We prioritize family bonding through monthly game nights and special outings, cherishing each moment together.

While family time is precious, I also value self-care and nurturing friendships. I find solace in exploring self-help literature, indulging in travel adventures, and occasionally indulging in some online retail therapy.
